GARBAGE SERVICES

If you have questions regarding garbage pickup or service, please call Allied Waste at 1-800-464-2120 between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM

If you have questions about garbage billing, please contact the Borough Secretary at 724-222-2929 between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

LOCAL WAGE TAXES ARE DUE

Every individual residing in the Borough of East Washington must pay quarterly wage taxes either through their employer or by submission of their own payments.

BOROUGH REAL ESTATE TAXES

Borough Real Estate Taxes are collected by mail or in person at the Borough Offices, 15 Thayer Street, Washington, PA 15301. Checks are to be made payable to Milton J. Schuler, Tax Collector.

LEAVES - NEW FOR 2008

ALL RESIDENTS ARE TO BAG THEIR LEAVES AND LEAVE THEM WITH THEIR GARBAGE WHEREVER THEY ALWAYS PLACE THEIR GARBAGE ON REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION DAYS – TUESDAYS. NO SPECIAL BAGS ARE REQUIRED. PLASTIC OR PAPER BAGS ARE ALLOWABLE. PLEASE PLACE THE BAGS OF LEAVES WITH YOUR GARBAGE, WHEREVER YOUR GARBAGE IS PICKED UP. FOR EXAMPLE, DO NOT PLACE BAGS OF LEAVES IN THE FRONT OF YOUR PROPERTY IF YOUR GARBAGE IS PICKED UP IN THE BACK, OR IN THE BACK IF YOUR GARBAGE IS PICKED UP IN FRONT.
